Action RPG Yasha: Legends of the Demon Blade Delayed, Now Releasing in May

Yasha: Legends of the Demon Blade has been delayed due to unprecedented demand for its limited edition, with pre-orders far exceeding expectations. Developer 7QUARK and publisher Game Source Entertainment have postponed the original April 24th release date, clarifying this stems from production needs rather than development issues.

The decision follows the game’s successful demo, which amassed over 100,000 Steam wishlists, prompting the team to scale up operations to meet player anticipation. The game itself is a Japanese-style action RPG roguelite set in a fantasy Edo period, featuring three protagonists, an immortal ninja, an Oni emissary, and a demon samurai, battling a sinister Nine-Tailed Fox.

There are also a physical Deluxe Edition for PS5 and Switch in Europe, North America, Japan, and Asia, packed with goodies like postcards, an artbook, and the soundtrack. The combat’s been praised as fierce and the visuals as stunning, drawing from Feudal Japan vibes. If you’re into hack-and-slash with a deep story, this might be one to watch.

Yasha: Legends of the Demon Blade is now slated for PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, Switch, and PC via Steam on May 14th.
