Taiwanese indie game studio 7QUARK, in partnership with global publisher Game Source Entertainment (GSE), has announced the release date for their action RPG, Yasha: Legends of the Demon Blade. The game will launch on April 24, 2025, and will be available on Steam, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
Set in Japan’s Edo period, Yasha: Legends of the Demon Blade immerses you in a world where harmony between humans and demons has been shattered. The chaos stems from the Nine-tailed Fox’s rampage, throwing the land into turmoil. You will embody three distinct protagonists as they battle their way through a cycle of life and death.
The game combines Japanese-inspired art with Roguelite mechanics. You will explore a vibrant world influenced by traditional Japanese culture while engaging in challenging battles that require skill, strategy, and adaptability. Throughout your journey, you’ll have the opportunity to gather various types of upgrade items. Beyond weapon components, you’ll also come across ingredients for gourmet recipes.
The road to releasing Yasha: Legends of the Demon Blade has not been easy. In 2024, the team faced significant challenges, leading to an emergency Kickstarter campaign to fund the final development phase. The campaign was a resounding success, raising 152% of its goal. Community support was overwhelming, with the “Taketora Collection Pack” selling out quickly, prompting the team to add 300 more slots for players.
