Dark Point Games has announced Achilles: Survivor, a new single-player bullet heaven game set in the world of the action RPG Achilles: Legends Untold. The game is scheduled to enter Early Access on PC via Steam in late 2024.
Achilles: Survivor is a dynamic game where players face thousands of enemies in quick sessions. The goal is to build destructive structures, develop your character, and transform from a hero into a god of destruction. This game introduces a unique building mechanic, allowing players to erect defensive towers, healing structures, and summon allies to help battle hordes of enemies.
Players will explore various mythical locations from the Achilles universe, including Troy, Greece, and Tartarus. Each area is rendered in the visual style that fans loved in Achilles: Legends Untold. As you traverse these locations, you will battle mythological monsters and acquire legendary weapons and artifacts. The game features diverse characters, each with unique combat abilities, offering different ways to tackle the countless waves of enemies.
The story picks up after the Trojan War, with Hades resurrecting Achilles to use in his schemes against the gods. After Hades claims Achilles’ soul and casts him into Tartarus, Achilles escapes, freeing other souls in the process. Hades, angered by this defiance, sends legions to hunt down the escapees. Players will take on the role of Achilles or one of the survivors, engaging in high-stakes battles with powerful bosses and a variety of enemies.
