Coreffect Interactive and Forklift Interactive have announced Roman Triumph: Survival City Builder following its premiere at The MIX Fall Showcase. This colony simulation game, set in the majestic era of ancient Rome, challenges players to construct and protect a thriving metropolis while navigating the blessings and wrath of the gods. The game will be available for PC on Steam.
In Roman Triumph, you run a Roman colony by managing resources, buildings, and the happiness of the people. Your success depends on how well you plan, as your choices affect the city’s growth and safety. It’s important to organize homes, businesses, social areas, and places of worship to prevent problems like disease, crime, and attacks. Key buildings like the Senate, Insula, and Hospitium help keep the city thriving.
You also need to protect your settlement from constant attacks by northern invaders and mythical creatures like the Minotaur and Hydra. This means building strong walls, watchtowers, and powerful weapons, while also researching better technology and training a strong army.
A special part of the game involves interacting with Roman gods. You must earn the favor of gods like Venus, Ceres, and Mars by building temples and completing their tasks. If you ignore or upset them, you might face serious troubles like storms, diseases, or monster attacks. Managing these relationships with the gods adds an interesting challenge to the game.
