Sabotage Studio’s Sea of Stars, RPG which released in 2023, is soon getting a content upgrade. After the Dawn of the Equinox update added couch co-op and a reworked combat system, the upcoming Throes of the Watchmaker DLC will bring a new post-game campaign, launching free on May 20, 2025, for PC (Steam), PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.
Throes of the Watchmaker brings back protagonists Zale and Valere, alongside the mysterious Watchmaker from the original story, for an eight-hour adventure set in Horloge, a miniaturized clockwork world crafted by the Watchmaker. While the DLC takes place after Sea of Stars’ main events, it functions as a standalone experience, complete with a new progression system, unique classes, skills, and combos.
Additionally, a new companion, Artificer, joins the duo on their journey. The expansion also introduces new maps, puzzles, and enemies. Like the previous Dawn of the Equinox update, Throes of the Watchmaker will be entirely free for all Sea of Stars owners.
