Japan-based publisher Kakehashi Games and Bandai Namco Studios Singapore have announced Hirogami, a stunning 3D action platformer set to release on PC (Steam) in 2025. This origami-inspired game comes from a team of industry veterans, including those who worked on popular titles like Ace Combat 7 and Tekken 7.
In Hirogami, players are invited into a delicate, paper-crafted world under threat by a mysterious digital force known as the Blight. You’ll step into the role of Hiro, a skilled master of the art of folding, who uses his abilities to explore this fragile universe, solve puzzles, and battle enemies.
The game features a beautifully designed world where every element, from landscapes to characters, appears as if it has been folded from paper. Hiro can unfold into a sheet of paper to ride fiery updrafts or transform into a paper plane to soar over dangerous gaps. As you progress, you’ll unlock new forms, like an armadillo for rolling through obstacles, an ape for powerful attacks, and a frog for leaping to new heights.
The immersive experience is complemented by a traditional Japanese soundtrack, which adds depth to the unique atmosphere of Hirogami. The game’s music, inspired by Japanese instruments and styles, perfectly matches the origami-themed visuals and the story’s emotional tones.
