Češki gaming gigant Bohemia Interactive ostvario je izvanredne rezultate u 2024. godini, povećavši prihode za 34% na 60,8 milijuna dolara. Unatoč globalnom usporavanju u gaming industriji, studio je postigao nevjerojatan uspjeh prodavši 4,85 milijuna primjeraka svojih igara i DLC-eva na PC-u, Xbox, PlayStation i Nintendo Switch platformama. Prošle godine, igre Bohemia Interactivea igrali su 17 milijuna igrača diljem svijeta.
According to Slavomír Pavlíček, co-founder and CFO of Bohemia Interactive, 2024 surpassed all expectations. Two major successes were highlighted:
- DayZ Frostline Expansion: The latest update to DayZ captured the hearts of players globally, adding new content and enhancing the popular survival game.
- Arma Reforger on PlayStation 5: The military simulator made waves on Sony’s platform, standing out as a unique and unmatched title in its genre.
Bohemia Interactive’s sales are almost entirely from international markets, with 99% of revenue coming from abroad. The United States is the company’s largest market, accounting for 42% of its sales, followed by the United Kingdom (7%) and Germany (6%). The studio also saw significant growth in new regions. In Ukraine, the number of players doubled compared to the previous year, and Brazil is becoming an increasingly important market for the company.
Looking ahead, Bohemia Interactive aims to build on its 2024 success with exciting plans for 2025 and beyond. Fans can expect the studio to:
- Expand and Improve Current Games: Continuous updates and new content will keep players engaged with existing titles.
- Develop Arma 4: The much-anticipated military simulation is slated for release in 2027. Development is progressing alongside updates to Bohemia’s proprietary Enfusion game engine, which powers its games.
- Launch New Titles Through Bohemia Incubator: This platform supports smaller development teams, helping them fund and publish their projects. The world will see fresh games from this initiative in 2025.
