Pocketpair, the developer behind Palworld, has officially launched a publishing division and announced its first project, a mysterious horror game from Surgent Studios. The new initiative, Pocketpair Publishing, aims to provide funding and publishing support for indie game developers and studios.
Pocketpair Publishing’s mission is to support indie developers by offering resources and guidance to bring their creative visions to life. In a statement, Pocketpair said, “Our goal is to provide comprehensive support for game development through funding and publishing for indie developers and studios.”
The founder of Surgent Studios Abubakar Salim, who is well-known for his creative direction on Tales of Kenzera: ZAU and acting roles in Assassin’s Creed Origins (as Bayek) and House of the Dragon (as Alyn), praised the collaboration saying: “This is the energy I want to see driving games in 2025, developers lifting each other up, creating together, and pushing the industry forward.”
Details about the new horror game from Surgent Studios are scarce, but it is scheduled for release in 2025. No title, synopsis, or gameplay details have been shared yet, but fans can expect updates soon. The project will be one of Pocketpair Publishing’s first major release.
