Team Breakout has announced Deeper, a survival game that blends the underwater exploration of Subnautica with the cooperative mechanics of Raft. Set to launch in Steam Early Access in 2025, Deeper invites players to embark on an underwater adventure filled with treasures, shipwrecks, and deadly creatures.
In Deeper, you team up with up to six friends to explore the ocean’s depths, uncovering hidden treasures, forgotten creatures, and valuable resources. However, danger lurks around every corner, and survival is never guaranteed. The game challenges you to print your gear, assign roles, and craft careful strategies, or charge in headfirst and hope for the best.
Team Breakout, a small team working on the game in their free time, has chosen Early Access to involve the community in the development process. “Early access is the best option to quickly make the game available to all and make it progress with the help of the community,” the team explained.
The Early Access version currently includes two replayable expeditions with varying difficulty and reward settings, as well as multiple equipment and usable items. The team plans to expand the game with new expeditions, unique mobs, and additional equipment based on player feedback.
