Bossa Studios, the creators of the well-known Surgeon Simulator, unveiled a new trailer for Lost Skies during the Humble Games Showcase. This PvE open-world survival adventure lets up to six players explore floating islands using a grapple hook and fully customizable airships. The game bears similarities to their previous title, Worlds Adrift, which shut down in 2019. The trailer confirmed that Lost Skies will launch for PC later this year.
The game’s mechanics are somewhat reminiscent of Aloft, but with a distinct twist and setting. Lost Skies allows you to build and customize your own Skyship, which serves as both a home and a tool for navigating the elements and facing creatures in this vast floating world. In addition to multiplayer co-op, a solo mode will also be available.
The survival mechanics are accessible yet engaging. You can explore ancient ruins, uncover the mysteries of long-lost civilizations, and battle colossal creatures scattered across the expansive sky world. The grapple hook isn’t just for movement, it enables creative interactions with the environment, providing unparalleled versatility and fluidity in exploration.
