UK-based publisher Kwalee and Swedish developer PowerSnake have announced the release date for Voidwrought, a 2D action-platformer set in a haunting, hand-drawn world. The game will be available on PC via Steam and Epic Games Store, as well as Nintendo Switch, on October 24th, 2024. Players can already try a playable demo on Steam, with a Nintendo eShop demo coming soon.
Voidwrought invites players into the mysterious ruins of the First Civilisation, where they must confront ancient gods and collect Ichor, the blood of these deities. The game offers a beautifully crafted world, featuring over 70 enemies and 10 powerful bosses across various atmospheric locations, from the star-scorched Surface to the eerie, biomechanical ruins of the Abandoned Expedition.
Customization plays a big role in Voidwrought. Players can equip over 30 unique Relics and Souls to suit their playstyle, from spectral weapons to passive abilities. As they explore, they will also expand their shrine, growing a cult of loyal followers who reveal new secrets and powers.
