Who could have thought such a change would happen? The studio Sloclap, known for the game Sifu, has swapped China and martial arts for football. Their new game, REMATCH, will bring a fresh perspective to this sport, focusing on fast 5v5 matches that emphasize teamwork. It has been confirmed that the game will be available for Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and PC next year, and the debut trailer reveals vibrant virtual arenas and online action inspired by arcade games.

The game aims to capture the essence of football through short and intense matches without fouls or offsides. Players take control of a single footballer from a third-person perspective. They can assume different roles, whether playing as a striker, defender, or specially designed goalkeeper with unique abilities, depending on the needs of the game. Rematch will also allow for dribbling, wall rebounds, and various signature moves.

In addition to the competitive 5v5 mode, REMATCH will offer various options for even faster gameplay and various seasonal updates after launch, further enriching the game's content. Various cosmetic items will allow you to customize your characters, and new modes will be added to the game each season to maintain dynamism and appeal, keeping players engaged long after the official release.
