The creator behind iconic titles like Shadowrun, BattleTech, and Crimson Skies Jordan Weisman has officially launched the Kickstarter for Sea of Legends. This new deck-building, fantasy-infused, pirate-themed RPG with open-world gameplay offers you the chance to rise from a lowly scallywag to the feared Pirate King of the Caribbean.
In Sea of Legends, you will navigate a world filled with adventure, treasure, and danger. You’ll challenge the might of European crowns, battle against the undead, and face the mysterious denizens of the deep, all while charting your own course to infamy. The game combines elements of traditional role-playing with deck-building mechanics, giving you the ability to customize your characters and crews as you embark on daring raids, engage in naval combat, and pursue romance.
Inspired by a popular narrative board game created by Zach Weisman and Ryan Schapals, Sea of Legends brings together a team of experienced developers. These include Andrew McIntosh (known for BATTLETECH), Jeffery Campbell (from Darkest Dungeon and Deus Ex: Mankind Divided), Kate Cruz (from Skull & Bones), and Justin Gray (from Ascension).
The Kickstarter campaign offers various pledge levels, starting with the “Sailor” tier at $25, which includes a digital copy of the game.
