Fans of survival horror have been eagerly awaiting Post Trauma, the upcoming title from Red Soul Games and publisher Raw Fury, but they’ll need to exercise a bit more patience. Originally slated for a March 31, 2025 release, the game has now been delayed to April 22, 2025, due to “unexpected circumstances,” as announced by the development team.
Initially unveiled at The Game Awards in 2022, the title was set for a Spring 2024 launch before being pushed to October 29, 2024, and then to March 31, 2025, following feedback from Steam Next Fest demos.
Post Trauma casts players as Roman, a middle-aged train conductor trapped in a surreal, nightmarish dimension after a panic attack. Drawing heavily from classics like Silent Hill and Resident Evil, the game blends fixed camera angles with modern visuals powered by Unreal Engine 5, promising a chilling mix of psychological horror, grotesque monsters, and intricate puzzles.
In a statement shared on Steam and across platforms like X, the developers cited “some unfortunate, unexpected circumstances” as the reason for the postponement. While specifics remain undisclosed, the team emphasized their dedication to ensuring Post Trauma meets high standards. “We want to ensure the first experience players have with Post Trauma is a special one,” they noted, acknowledging the frustration this might cause fans but framing the delay as a necessary step to avoid relying on post-launch patches for critical fixes.
The latest delay suggests technical, logistical, or even personal problems disrupted the final stretch. Yet, Raw Fury and Red Soul Games have doubled down on their promise, labeling April 22 as the “new and final” release date. Priced at $14.99 / €14.99, Post Trauma remains an accessible entry into the survival horror genre, with a demo still available from Steam Next Fest offering a taste of its unsettling world.
