Closer the Distance, a slice-of-life simulation game, will launch for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC via Steam on August 2. Publisher Skybound Games and developer Osmotic Studios announced the release.
In Closer the Distance, players follow the story of Angela, a young girl from the town of Yesterby. After a tragic car accident, Angela watches over her family and friends as they cope with grief. She has an ethereal ability to influence the people she knew, and her choices shape the fate of Yesterby.
The game combines emotional storytelling with choices that significantly impact the gameplay. Themes of empathy, community, friendship, grief, and closure are woven into the narrative, creating a deeply immersive experience. Each decision players make affects the outcome, ensuring that every playthrough is unique.
