The Karlovac-based game development studio Damage Control showed their horror game, Don’t Look Back, at this year’s Reboot Infogamer event, held from November 14 to 17. They joined 20 other studios to present their game, which is currently available for free download on Steam. The final version is scheduled for release in early 2025.
Don’t Lock Back is being made with Unreal Engine 5.1 and has been in production for just two months. The first version of Don’t Look Back was surprisingly created in just five days and released on platforms like Steam and itch.io. The team also plans to add many free updates in the future. In the game, you need to find six keys to unlock a hidden door, discover secret notes, and solve the dark mysteries of a spooky house while avoiding the scary Crooked Man.
Damage Control, made up of programmer Matija Cerovac, 3D artist and animator Matija Bogović, and producer and sound designer Rudolf Ravbar, was nominated for the Gamer’s Choice Award but unfortunately did not win. Being nominated put them among the top three teams out of 20 studios, showing that their first game received a positive response.
