Indie studios Glowfish Interactive and Rangatang have announced that their multiplayer arena brawler Nubs!: Arena will launch in Early Access on Steam on May 15, with a special bonus: for the first 24 hours, the game will be completely free to download and keep forever. This chaotic title with roguelite elements promises fast-paced battles inspired by classic RPGs.
The story centers around fulfilling the demands of Konzumos, a mysterious entity hungry for spectacle. Through a series of trap-filled arenas, players must fight to earn the title of Konzumos’s favorite champion, using the strangest items and upgrades. Nubs!: Arena supports local and online multiplayer for up to four players, either on the same device or remotely.
The game features various modes and a roguelite progression system, ensuring that each new playthrough brings fresh surprises. The brawls are fast and unpredictable, and every Nub has a unique fighting style, often involving bizarre items like fish or other “questionable” tools.
Glowfish Interactive and Rangatang, known for titles like Awesomenauts and Trifox, emphasize that Nubs!: Arena was born out of their love for chaotic multiplayer experiences. With simple mechanics and a wacky world, the game is all about fun and social play, making it perfect for fans of party games with a wild twist.
