The developer tokoronyori and publisher Kodansha Creators’ Lab have launched a demo for BOKURA: Planet, a co-op adventure game that takes collaboration and betrayal to new heights. This demo, now available on PC via Steam, offers players a standalone story as a teaser for the full game’s release on April 24, 2025.
BOKURA: Planet begins with two cosmonauts, both convicted criminals, crash-landing on a mysterious red planet due to a spaceship malfunction. Stranded in an unknown world, players must team up to solve puzzles and overcome obstacles. Unlike traditional co-op games, the reality of the planet appears differently to each player. Through voice chat, partners must describe what they see and work together to navigate the challenges that affect both of their worlds.
Adding a layer of complexity, BOKURA: Planet introduces secret objectives for each player. These hidden goals force them to question their partner’s motives, adding tension to the collaboration. A new “push” mechanic allows them to interfere with each other, whether by blocking progress or, more mischievously, shoving their partner off a cliff.
Building on the team-based puzzle-solving of the original BOKURA, this sequel introduces the concept of trust and its fragility. According to creator tokoronyori: “By adding an element of tension and constant questioning of teammates’ intentions, fans of the first title will enjoy a brand new experience.“
