At Summer Game Fest 2025, Amazing Seasun Games announced the release date for Mecha Break, their highly anticipated online mecha shooter. The game launches on July 1, 2025, for PC via Steam and Xbox Series X/S. The release date was accompanied by a new trailer showcasing fast-paced combat and stunning mech designs, building on the excitement from the highly successful global open beta earlier this year.
Set in an alternate future, Mecha Break immerses you in a world where factions battle for control of Coriteum, a toxic yet vital mineral, the last energy source on Earth. Due to its dangerous nature, only large, adaptable mechs can handle Coriteum. The story unfolds after a global catastrophe caused by a solar mass ejection from the Sun, triggering geological disasters and dangerously expanding Coriteum. This conflict drives the game’s narrative, with you piloting the third-generation BREAK Striker to fight various factions.
Mecha Break offers three distinct modes: 3v3 Ace Arena for intense competitive skirmishes, 6v6 Operation VERGE focused on team coordination, and a PvPvE extraction mode called Mashmak, where up to 60 players can battle enemies and environmental hazards. Additionally, you can choose from five mech classes: Attacker, Defender, Supporter, Brawler, and Sniper each with unique abilities. You can also customize your mechs with new colors, stickers, and weapons.
The open beta in February attracted over 300,000 concurrent players on Steam, with fans on social media calling it a “love letter to mech fantasy” and praising its smooth controls and customization options. However, there are concerns about microtransactions, which Amazing Seasun Games has promised to address before launch.
