At the Galaxies Gaming Showcase, developer and publisher Nekki dropped a new trailer for SPINE, a cinematic gun fu action game. The highly anticipated title, which has already racked up over 400,000 wishlists across platforms, is coming to PC (Steam), PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and also Nintendo Switch 2.
The latest trailer puts SPINE’s Freeflow Gun Fu combat front and center. You control Redline, a rebellious street artist, who flows seamlessly between enemies, parrying attacks, disarming foes, and turning their weapons against them in slick, combo-driven sequences. The environment is your playground, slam enemies into walls, toss them off ledges, or you grab makeshift melee weapons.
The trailer also gives a sneak peek at SPINE’s Hardcore mode, a spin on no-hit gameplay. SPINE is a single-player, story-driven action game set in a cyberpunk future ruled by an oppressive AI. Powered by Unreal Engine 5 and Nekki’s Cascadeur animation engine, SPINE delivers action choreographed by real stunt specialists, ensuring no two fights ever feel the same.
