Microids has announced the creation of a new third-party publishing division, aimed at expanding its international collaborations. This move kicks off with a partnership with Kwalee to bring The Precinct, a new game from Fallen Tree Games Limited, to a wider audience.
The new division consists of seven staff members specializing in editorial, sourcing, and publishing. It operates separately from Microids’ indie branch, which was established in 2017. Microids has a history of successful collaborations, working on physical editions with companies like Kepler Interactive (Sifu) and Forever Entertainment (House of the Dead).
Microids CEO Stéphane Longeard expressed excitement about the new partnerships, stating that the division will help strengthen relationships with both new and long-standing collaborators. Ben Forrester of Kwalee added: “We are thrilled to partner with Microids to bring The Precinct to a wider audience,” noting Microids’ expertise in physical distribution.
