Italian game studio LKA, British publisher Wired Productions and Swedish film production company Studios Extraordinaires have announced an exclusive partnership for the film adaptation of the video game Martha Is Dead.
Set in the picturesque but war-ravaged landscape of Tuscany in 1944, Martha Is Dead weaves the story within the context of World War II. As players, we take on the role of Giulia, a young woman who faces the mystery of her twin sister Martha's death. Praised for its stunning detail and realism, the game has been acclaimed worldwide for its remarkable ability to blend the boundaries between reality, superstition and the tragedy of war.
Studios Extraordinaires, the creative center of André Hedetoft and Andreas Troedsson, will lead the adaptation of the film in close collaboration with Luca Dalcò, founder and director of LKA, creator of the game Martha Is Dead. Namely, this studio specializes in creating action, horror and science fiction films from original stories and unique games.
As a reminder, Martha is Dead was released on February 24, 2022 on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S consoles.
