After years of anticipation, developer Askiisoft and publisher Devolver Digital have released a new teaser trailer for the upcoming DLC for the action platformer Katana ZERO. The expansion will be free and continues the story of the game’s well-known protagonist, Zero, revealing new details about his mysterious past.
The new trailer, revealed during the recent Triple-i Initiative Showcase, confirmed that the DLC will introduce brand-new characters, levels, story content, and additional gameplay mechanics, all while maintaining the game’s signature intense pacing and brutally stylish combat. The protagonist continues his bloody odyssey through a neon-drenched noir world.
Katana ZERO is already acclaimed for its unique blend of precise platforming sequences and tactical, lethal combat. Players must rely on quick reflexes, time manipulation, and creative tactics to survive in a world where every move can mean the difference between life and death.
While a specific release date hasn’t been confirmed yet, Devolver suggests that the DLC is in its final stages of development. The original game is available on Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam, while the PlayStation 4 version remains in the pipeline following ESRB certification in 2021.
