Devolver Digital, the publisher known for Cult of the Lamb, has teamed up with Peculiar Pixels to release BOTSU, a ragdoll multiplayer boxing game, on Steam later this year. BOTSU is physics-based, where punches can knock you off the map, and a demo is already available on Steam.
In BOTSU, you suit up as customizable android athletes thrown into three wildly unpredictable, physics-heavy battlesports. Acrobatics meet combat as these bots sprint, flip, breakdance, climb, and brawl their way through bizarre arenas. Whether online or in local split-screen, up to eight players can compete, with team matchups supporting four-on-four chaos—or just a living room full of friends yelling at the screen.
The game offers three distinct modes to shake things up. Box-Ball mashes together football, basketball, and a pinch of magical mayhem, with an explosive ball that adds extra tension to each match. Stockpile is all about stealing resources from rival teams in a frantic scramble for control. And Sumo Survival turns the floor to lava as players wrestle to be the last bot standing in a fiery pit of pandemonium.
